Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Hi folks,
Can somebody out there advise me on how to define and apply user-defined bars in P3.
I know Paul Harris posted something on this sometime back, but I cannot find it.
I have defined one and attempted to apply it but it did not work.
Please, this is urgent.

2 methods.

1. For individual bars, highlight required bar. From the menu options choose, Format, Selected Bars, Modify Bar Format. This format can then be copied and pasted onto other bars.

2. To format bars based on a code value. Format, Bars, Pattern.
