Hello Planners,

Has anyone out there worked on Oracle projects in planning and control?

I would appreciate if someone could give me limitations or advantages it gives in real application versus Primaveras P3 or P3e.

Ali,

Thanks for the information, but what I was really pointing to was "Oracle Projects", which is a complete module provided by Oracle for project management and works alone.

In P3e, Oracle is just a hosting DB environment. so I dont if anyone can provide his comments on his application of "Oracle Projects".

Mohamed Gebriel,

As far as I know, the Primavera Project Planner (P3) uses the Btrieve Database engine but Primavera Enterprise (P3e) uses the Oracle Database engine.
As you know the Oracle Database designed for large volume of data processing with high security and high speed processing. So when you want to have multi huge project schedule with full resource assignment and cost loading, concurrent multi user updating and other specific data processing, you should have a strong database engine such as Oracle.
