Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Tasks dates not imported in P6

Hi all, I am trying to import and MS project file (MPX) to Primavera P6 and after a successful import, the start/finish dates are not imported in P6. If the activity is 100% completed, I only have the A in the start/finish cell in P6. Any thoughts pls?

Rox,

 

P6’s main purpose is to calculate start and finish dates.  Specifically Early, remaining early, late, remaining late and planned start and finish. It is a long time since I imported an MPX file, but when importing a spreadsheet you cannot import any of these dates, you can only import dates that are input to the schedule calculations.  To populate date fields in P6 you need to schedule.
