Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Hello Experts,

 

What % of total number of activities in a baseline schedule should ideally be lying on the critical path (TF=0), a number from your extensive experience / best practice would suffice.

There is no single answer to this - small schedules (low number of activities) will tend to have more activities on the critical path than large schedules, but my heuristic is around 20% is good, below 20% better and knowing the probability of achieving on-time completion is heading 'south' once the percentage gets above 20% (particularly if there are multiple critical paths).
