Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Remaining Units are not calculated correctly in Primavera P6

When updating a Baseline project and giving an actual start to a task dependant activity , the sum of remaining units and actual units is not equal to the budgeted units.

Any ideas why this happens?

check the duration type of activity. is it fixed units?

After updating the progress, if there is any differnce in at complete and original duration, and duration type is fixed units/time, the sum of remaining units and actual units will not be equal to budgeted units.
