Each project is unique. I recommend, build the plan with your operations/construction management team.

Programmes of other hotels (that will be shared to you) do not really show the assumptions made in the plan development, procurement considerations, logistics, design and engineering etc.

Hi Antonio

Please read the whole thread and then understand why sending you a sample programme will not help.

Best regards

Hi James,

Would you happen to know a Bob Benham by any chance? or John William?
How about Chris Danniel or George William?

Dear Mike,

We are just assisting him in starting up his schedule. I really believe that each person should build up his own schedule. Sometimes you need a small push forward. So this was it, no more. Cutting and pasting templates/ old schedule will only put a person out of touch with the project.

I do believe that if he is serious, it might take him at least 3-4 weeks to build up a complete schedule.

I hope that he benefit from this thread. This is what it is all about.

With kind regards,

Samer

Hi Samer

Of course you have the skill and expertise to do it from the top of your head - you can build it therefore you can plan it.

Unfortunately you missed my point.

The chap who started this thread has never built a hotel in his life.

He will never do it from a single template - no matter how expertly detailed the advice.

Why not ask him for the drawings and spec and do the plan for him.

I have just finished a 4 storey hotel programme - it took me 6 hours Bottom Uo - fully resourced.

Best regards

Mike Testro

Dear Mike,

That can be dealt with easily:

steel framed structure on a piled basement foundation:

Substructure
- Site layout
- Pile Drilling
- Pile Reinforcement
- Pile Casting
- Pile Top end preparation
- Raft shuttering, reinforcement and casting
- Column necks shuttering, reinforcement and casting.
- Fill under Slab on Grade
- Slab on grade reinforcement, Anchor bolts installation and concrete casting.

Superstructure
Structural Steel Erection (for all floors)
- Erection of Structural Steel Columns
- Erection of Beams and Bracing.
- Erection of Corrugated sheet studded slabs
- Casting of Concrete for slabs

Facade Cladding.
- Substructure
- Cover skin
- Finishes.

For the two storey villas case:

Divide the project into Zone or number of Villas. And start with the same conventional program of works. You will need to calculate the resources and make the work go in parallel from one Zone or Villa to the Other.

With kind regards,

Samer

Hi Samer

Thats a great list - but what if it is steel framed structure on a piled basement foundation?

Or a series of two storey villas around a central reception zone in a landscaped beach environment.

Best regards

Hi James

I notice that your speciality is Civil Engineering.

Believe me building is easier - I have worked in both disciplines and any sort of vertical arrangement is easier than a flat linear one.

Just look at the drawings and the spec and think the construction process through from setting out to final test and commission.

I have said many times in PP - If you can’t build it you can’t plan it.

Best regards

Mike Testro.

Hi James

Getting a pdf of someone elses programme will not help.

Every hotel is different.

You must start your own programme from the information that you have in front of you.

Best regards
