As I understood, If both planners are working on same project and one taking of civil and the other is taking care of MEP works..Updates for the same has been done by both of them, but on different projects...
U can try this...
Create and Assign filters Civil choosing only civil activties and MEP filtering MEP activities...Save the same as 2 two layouts respectively MEP and Civil...
Copy the file (2 files, 1 for Civil and 1 for MEP)issue the the same to planners and inform them to update in the respective layouts only...
after the updating, keep all the 3 files (Base, Copy - Civil, Copy - MEP) in a same folder..
Open the Base project, keep the Copy - Civil and Copy - MEP files as Target 1 and 2...
Keep anyone layout (Either Civil or MEP) as open, and go to Tools>Project Utilities>Target choose the respective target file (Either Copy - Civil or Copy - MEP)..Update Target for the selected layout only..By using this option, both the different files updated by the two planners, would be updated in the Base project...
Try this...If any doubts / confusion in this explanation, let me know...
Cheers

Filter the activities required. Copy the required activties.
Select NO ACTIVTIES Filter. And then paste it into the new program. But, make sure activity codes defined in the previous program are also there in the new program.

Hi Raviraj & Vijay,
I am not sure if copying and pasting would carry the
respective activity codes. Storing as a fragnet would
probably be better. I did face a problem earlier with
copy/paste. But fragnets neatly carry all the codes,
resources, links, etc. Only the activity IDs will have
to be changed as per new requirements, if any.
Happy Planning.....

Vijay,
There is also tool available for merging (If you want to merge two projects and not few activities)
Go to Tools ---> Project Utilities ---> Merge

Hope it works!!!
