Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Haresh, not sure if you actually got your CCE/CCP by now, but here are some examples of the papers our successful graduates have produced........

Lita Liana, CCP, Shell Oil, Indonesia- http://pmworldjournal.net/article/using-analytical-hierarchy-process-determine-appropriate-minimum-attractive-rate-return-oil-gas-projects-indonesia/

Asma al Fadah, PMP, Oman Petroleum- http://pmworldjournal.net/article/can-multidimensional-wbs-solution-project-issues/

Gideon Wibowo, CCP, SSK MIGAS- http://pmworldjournal.net/wp-content/uploads/2014/12/pmwj29-dec2014-Wibowo-WBS-Tangible-Drilling-Cost-featured-paper.pdf

Trian Hendro Asmoro, CCP, PMP, Medco Energi- http://pmworldjournal.net/article/exploring-gold-equivalency-for-forecasting-steel-prices-on-pipeline-projects/

Ridwan Wibiksana, PMP, CCP, Pertamina- http://pmworldjournal.net/?article=earned-value-management-adapted-for-use-in-underground-mining-operations

But whether you got your AACE certifications or not, have you given any thought to getting Guild Certified?  We have gone BEYOND AACE and PMI and instead of only creating EXAM based credentials we have developed a multi-level, multi-track credentialing process which validates not only that you can pass exams but that you are actually COMPETENT, as evidenced by examples of what you have produced, reviewed and vetted by Senior Fellows.  http://www.planningplanet.com/guild/certification

Roughly speaking, IF you passed your CCE/CCP that falls roughly between the Guild's Foundation and Proficient levels so assuming you meet the experience and other requirements you probably willl qualify for Guild "Proficient" Level.

Hi Haresh,

For the open book exam, only one book will suffice all ur needs and thats "Skills & Knowledge of Cost Engineering, 5th Edition."

Open book is useful only for part 1 which is objective type questions. They will ask u lot of definitions type questions and u can re-confirm the correct definition by looking into the relevant section. There will be 50 questions and 1hr 45 minutes to complete it.

My advise wud be to answer the questions in say like 1hr 15 min and then re-confirm ur answers by looking into the book in remaining time.

Idle time required for CCE exam preparation will be 15 days for technical paper and 15 days for study (2-3hrs/day)

Cheers,

Step 1: Visit the http://www.aacei.org/certification/certExplained.shtml

Step 2: Ask any question that you do not know about.

Step 3: Check the calender to schedule the exam location nearest to your location.

AACEI publishes two papers every month on their website. You may refer to some of the archives to get a better idea of paper to be selected.

All The Best

Hi Haresh,

You can present any paper related with planning, contracts, project management or project controls. But, if it is related with your own project (current or past) and if you can quantify ur work, then it will be very easy to get it cleared. People do fail just because their papers are just copy and paste from some website.

On CCE website, you can find CCE book which you need to study. Planning and Project Management Sections are quite easy as we are dealing with these things everyday. The toughest section will be ECONOMICS. you need to practice a lot for this section.
