Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Hi, I'm using Primavera P6, and I've attended beginners course and read most of Harris' Project planning and control using Primavera P6...

I find the book very usefull, but I miss the best practice discussions. Anyone read anything good or know of good resources on best practice for planning/scheduling/follow up/?

Haakon

Hi Hakon,

I am certainly no expert in the field, however I have been recently impressed with the following publication.

It is freely available electronically on the web.

Planning & Scheduling Excellence Guide (PASEG)
Published Release v2.0
6/22/2012
National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA)
Procurement Division - Program Management Systems Committee (PMSC)

Regards,

Ramon

Hi Hakon

The Chartered Institute of Building has published "Best Practice in the Control of Time in Complex Projects".

That should be a good starting point.

Best regards
