I am curious if anyone is experiencing this issue. I can export a .xlsx from P6 R16.2. I can open the file just fine in Excel . However, if I save it in Excel without making any changes and try to import it into P6 R16.2, I get this error:
"The User Preferences used to create this Excel file are not the same as your current preferences. Importing this file could corrupt your data. Please refer to Help for more information about importing data from Excel. Are you sure that you want to continue?"
I've tried everything that I know how to do and searched and searched the Oracle/Primavera Knowledge Base. Apparently there is a setting in Excel 2016 that "corrupts" the data and there is some user preference setting in Excel 2016 that does not align with my user settings in P6 R16.2.
Has anyone experienced this issue? Any insight, tips, tricks, would be greatly appreciated
If this recently began to happen I believe that is is an error due to a security patch update from excel. You have 2 options
option #1 roll back the microsoft security path to an earlier verison
option #2 get an updated patch from Oracle
