Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Dear All,

I have a schedule in Primavera P6 that which the Periods were never stored. We update this schedule on a weekly basis, and now we are in week 135. We are having issues with some stakeholders. The progress curve, which uses de P6 data, has variations on the later weeks, due to the variations in units distribution for "in progress" activities.

The question is: What would happen if we start to use Store Period Performance from now on? Would we have to manually fill the past periods?

If so, is that any workaround we could use to make this job easier?

Regards.

is you started now would get one big dump of cost during this update

you can manually fix this

the work around is to use it from day 1

this is how to edit store period performance

To edit stored actual units or cost for a past period If you have already defined the financial period,Select Edit User preferenceThen select Application - at the bottom under column level- select thefinancial period for which you want to edit the past period performance ofany specific resource assignment-then closeNext go to the Activity modeClick the resource tabRight click on resource detail & customize-add columns from "FinancialPeriod Value"- Press ok-Now in the Details window you can edit the past performance actual there.
