Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Hi everyone,

I have an activity that was completed earlier than planned (nov 1st instead of nov 8)

Meanwhile its successor remaining early start date remains on november 11th. (the data date is nov 1st)

Is there a way to advance the rem. early start to nov. 1st ?

The only way I found to resolve that is removing the link with the predecessor.

Jean

Thank you Kylee,

In the schedule options I've checked "Progress override" instead of "Retained logic"

Hi Jean,

Is there incomplete logic link on the predecessor task?  This will still push the successor task even if the (first) predecessor is finished.  If you've time better to fix this than just deleting the link and it would change the successor task start date.  Careful with interproject links too if that is applicable.

Regards, Kylee.
