Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Good day,

I’m trying to import a P3 database into MS Project but i’m not getting good results.

I tried exporting the P3 data to an XLS file but that way I can’t import relationships, then I tried using the P3 to MPX tool included in P3 but it did not export many relationships and the actuals before the data date.

Any hints?

Best Regards,
Carlos.

Generally no two PM software tools will provide the same answer. Especially if you have been using SS and FF links between two tasks (for example Ladders and Hammocks), because MSP cannot do that, so you are bound to get a different answer.

Carlos,
Check your MSP and the link maybe on Summary Task and check Project Information and make sure it has the correct data date before converting to MPX then convert to P3. (Note Higher version of MSP doesn’t convert MPX only MSP 98 and below)
