Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

We have to maintain two databases containing the same data, one in MS Project and the other in Primavera P3. Who knows of a simple way (If there is one we haven’t found it yet) to simply update MS Project from P3 after we’ve completed our update in Primavera. Also we would need a way to add new tasks or logic changes made in P3 that would also be changed in MS Project.

David,

There is a way but not easy if you’re not familiar with Visual Basic. Both of them can communicate using Visual Basic Code and once it is setup, just a press of a button and it will be automatically updated. I done this before and I use P3 RA utilities as a reference and modify the code into MS Project Visual Basic Module.

Another way is to export your P3 project into MPX and open it with MS Project. (This method will always have new MSP files and not updating your existing MSP project file)

Rodel
