Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Thanks a lot for your clear explanation Rick. I never think it’s there before ’cuase I was confused with cost accrual term. Great, apparently MSP is as complete as P3.

No problem. To change the work contour you have to highlight the task you want to change (but do not click on it to open). Select the Task Usage view and then double-click on the resource you want to change the contour for.

You have a choice of 8 contours to choose from.

Alternatively, choose the Resource View, Insert Column, and select Work Contour. You can then see all tasks for all resources, along with the work contour associated with each rask. You can then alter the contour type. If you want to alter all or many contours for a given resource, change the first entry and then highlight all of the ones you want to change and use Fill Down.

These techniques work for MS Project 98 through to MS Project 2003.

Sorry for that confusing question,
What I mean is the second one "assigning work contours with a different profile" in MsP 2000.

Thks

Are you referring to the Accrual (of costs) or are you looking for help in assigning work contours with a different profile?
