Bae Systems - Operations Detail Planning Manager (QEC Contract)

As Operations Detail Planning manager for Bae Systems I am responsible for managing 3 teams of planners who are scheduling and monitoring work scope across the first of class HMS Queen Elizabeth. We are responsible for integrating both Bae and sub contract work scope to a state of completion accepted by the alliance and in line with their master schedule.
I have been heavily involved with the integration plan and the related challenges, this has enabled me to work closely with Babcock Marine, familiarize myself with their procedures and help develop processes that minimize risk and maximize opportunities for our customer. I manage internal and external stakeholder’s expectations on a daily basis, evaluate team strategy for achieving project milestones, influence project decisions and share best practice across the teams. I use my experiences from previous contracts along with some innovative new ideas to drive my team towards completion of the work scope and successful handover of the block.
