The GB ERTMS Programme was established in 2001. A strategy for implementation to establish how ERTMS will be operated on Network Rail’s infrastructure has been devised. STE deliver components of ERTMS, specifically C-DAS, COMPASS, ATO and ETCS. Responsible for 6 programmes: Combined Positioning Alternative Signalling System (COMPASS) GRIP Stage 1-3, Connected Driver Advisory System (CDAS) Grip Stage 1-3, Automatic Train Operation (ATO), European Train Control System (ETCS) and 2 Test Sites. Grip Stage 1-3 and 4 to 8.
- Good understanding of the Network Rail GRIP stages
- Excellent knowledge of the design, construction and commissioning of projects
- Knowledge of rail technologies, such as signalling, electrification
- Experienced P6 user, MS Project and newly acquired knowledge of Asta Power Project
- Project control experience of earned value method and CPA
- Interrogate and incorporate into master schedule information gathered from 3rd party contractors
- Performance analysis – CPI and SPI
- Preparing probable analysis of completion dates and potential alternatives. Presenting risk based analysis of most likelycompletion and expected deviation range
- Weekly and periodic progress, Plan updates, Scenario modelling.
