Bridge and Structural Engineer, ASHGHAL - PWA QATAR, PWA/ITC/041/10-11 (PRE AND POST CONTRACT PROFESSIONAL CONSULTANCY SERVICES FOR :)
Detailed investigation and a full assessment of the conditions of a number of structures. These structures include bridges and underpasses that are located along different parts of the Qatar road network and they vary in age, type, size and condition. The following is a list of these structures and their locations:
(i) Northern Relief Road Bridge 1;
(ii) Northern Relief Road Bridge 2;
(iii) Northern Relief Road Bridge 3;
(iv) Simaisma Interchange;
(v) Wadi Musbaireb Bridge (also known as Al Jaidah Flyover);
(vi) Khalifa Interchange;
(vii) Duhail Interchange;
(viii) Al Gharrafa Interchange (also known as "Immigration")
(ix) Khalifa Al Attiya to Al Asiri (Midmac) including the underpass linking both intersections and their approaches;
(x) Gulf Underpass (also known as Al Mannai Underpass);
(xi) West Bay Lagoon Bridges (4 structures over water).
Attached in Section E a plan showing the approximate locations of these interchanges and structures. Some locations include more than one structure. The scope of the assignment includes all structures within the intersection or interchange location as identified in the plan.
A. The high level project scope is divided into three (3) phases:
Phase 1:
a) detailed inspection and full structural assessment of the structures;
b) preparation of a report documenting the assessment and identifying the required repairs;
Phase 2:
a) Preparation of engineering drawings and tender documents and cost estimates for the required repair works separately for each structure.
Phase 3:
a) Site supervision and construction management of the repair works.
