Project: Working as a Lead site Planner in ALSTOM Pembroke Site, 2166MW Combined Cycle Power project, Pembroke –Pembrokeshire, United Kingdom.

Customer: RWE Power – Pembrokeshire, United Kingdom.

Unit type: 2166 MW – 5 x KA26-1 single shaft, gas only, direct sea cooling, on a full turnkey basis. All 5 units having ALSTOM make GT26 gas turbine, Steam turbine, Generators & heat recovery steam generator (HRSG).

Responsibilities-

·  Responsible for preparation and revision of System Time Schedules (STS) for Site covering all site activities including the scope of Power Plant and the Turnkey packages of all other sectors/business. 

·  Responsible for breakdown structures, networks, schedules, critical path analysis, reports and other project planning documentation. 

·  Co-ordination with different erection team regarding interface issue & timely completion of various    equipment and systems. 

·  Preparation of Subcontractor time frame Schedule as a part of Contract document. 

·  Sub-Contractor schedules monitoring and controlling weekly basis with progress line comparison. 

·  Co-ordinate the Sub-Contractor schedules and ensures proper interfacing amongst the different schedules. 

·  Master Time Schedule Update for Site construction portion along with delay log, identification of risk & opportunies and Critical path analysis. 

·  Cold  & Hot commissioning Schedule preparation & updating the status with progress line comparison & critical path analysis. 

·  Responsible for Forecast TOP  (Package Turnover to commissioning) follow up with contractors / Issuing Target / Forecast TOP to be achieved during the week. 

·   Provide inputs to the Construction Monitoring System (CMS) Engineer for CMS updates. 

·   Maintaining a database for all data and periodic updates. 

·  Provide inputs for the generation of the periodic Time Schedule Reports identifying the delays, critical paths and developing recovery plans and crash schedules with the sub-contractors.

·        Worked as a Lead Site Planner in ALSTOM Projects India Limited, as EPC contractor For Design, Engineering, and Construction.

·        Overall responsible for Site Scheduling & Planning job

·        Preparation, Updating of Site portion [Civil, M&E, Commissioning ] of MTS for Project Management

·        Assist in Preparation of Level 3 Site time schedule in Primavera/MS Project for Subcontractor.

Unit type : 4x50 MW Refurbishment Projects ( LMZ steam turbines, coal fired boilers ,ABB-Advent control system and balance of plants)

·        These units were commissioned in late 1960’s.All four units have been de-rated to 40 MW & the Plant utilization Factor (PUF) is also about 70% in recent years. In order to restore the rated/design capability and performance CSEB retained ALSTOM Power (I) Ltd. for carrying out the renovation and modernization (R&M) works of 4 x 50 MW so as to achieve the life extension of 20 years at rated parameters.

·        Worked as a Consortium Site Scheduler (A Consortium of ALSTOM Power India Limited New Delhi, ABL Limited Durgapur and Asea Brown Boveri Bangalore )

·        Responsible for preparation and updating of refurbishment schedule.

·        Preparation of daily & weekly Report for client and Senior Management.

·        Preparation of Progress S-Curve

·        Follow up with sub contractor for any delay and their corrective action plan to meet the key milestone date.

Project:ST-CMS 250 MW Lignite fired power plant 

Customer :ST-CMS Electric Pvt. Ltd. Tamilnadu, INDIA.
Unit type: 1x250 MW Lignite Fired Power Project (First solid fuel based IPP in India), ST and auxiliaries supplied by ABB, Mannheim, Germany.
Unit having 1 steam turbo-generator, 1 once through critical boiler

·        Worked as a Planning & Scheduling Engineer in ABB ALSTOM POWER (A Consortium of ALSTOM Power Germany, ALSTOM Power India Limited and Austrain Energy and environment Austria (AE&E), which has been selected as EPC contractor For Design, Engineering, Construction.

·        The duration was 34 month from date of NTP (Notice to Proceed)

·        Preparation of detail Weekly report for Project management highlighting critical areas , action required , drawings & material concerns etc
