I was working for BHP Billiton Energy Coal South Africa on the MWR projects. I was part of BHP Billiton Project Delivery Team. This project is multi phased, consisting of feasibility study, basic design, detail design, procurement, fabrication, execution and commissioning. The execution is also multi disciplined, which include the following - earthworks, civils, buildings, structural steel, piping, mechanicals, electrical and instrumentation erection, as well as commissioning and ramp-up, in the coal mining industry. Using Primavera Project software, I created a 4 resource loaded schedules for the Definition Phase. We are currently going to the IRP Review to apply for capital for the execution phase. There are two EPCM contractors that were selected for the Detail Design and Execution phase. I utilized their Level 3 schedules to create an over-all project schedule. Once the capital has been approved, we will expand the schedules to Level 4 resource loaded schedules that would be capable of providing monthly reports and earned value S-curves for Management meetings. I assisted with Bid Evaluation, Contractor Selection, and Management. The familiarity with contract documents, general conditions, special conditions, scope of work and contractual drawings is of great importance.
