Project Engineer – CLM, Laing O’Rourke

- The project for which I was working was Landscape and Pubic Realm, the scope of which included large scale enabling works, civils works consisting of deep drainage, earth retaining structures and hard concourse construction as well as soft landscape work.
- My role was both in on site delivery and heading up project integration, dealing with project managers across the whole project to maintain progress and coordinate sequence of works.
- I also worked with Primavera P6 planning software to assist the project planner in developing programme strategy and assure a reliable interface with other projects. Liaising with the Tier 1 contractor to optimize productivity to achieve required milestone completion. Project Controls, using critical path analysis to determine priority activities and programme risk mitigation to drive for timely completion with a very tight and constantly evolving programme.
- I was responsible for closing out “Request for Information”, “Early Warning Notices” and issuing “Compensation Event Notices”,
- I reviewed “Risk Assessment and Method Statements” and playied an active role in promoting a high standard of Health and Safety using a number of different techniques.
