Design House for AWE – Defence / Nuclear, May 2008 – January 2011 Mark joined Atkins as a planner on Atomic Weapons Establishment projects where Atkins is the Design House. Design typically exceeds a value of £20m and forms a major part of these projects. Mark was recruited to assist with several live projects including Hydrus, a major design project, from bid through the project life. His responsibilities included liaising with the client on all aspects of programme and WBS, developing a creditable WBS and programme for the DH whilst liaising with engineers and managers, presenting a planning workshop to engineers, developing CTR / tracking sheets, maintaining progress and reporting earned value and performance indicators (including CPI & SPI).
