Project Description: The scope of work involves the construction of an 11km road consisting of 10 lanes and four future lane sections with additional collectors/distributor roads, frontage roads, and ramps. the freeway will provide access to existing and planned developments via five interchanges comprising of 20 bridges, 13 bicycle overpasses, 8 vehicular underpasses, 3 pedestrian bridges, and tunnels.

  • Co-ordinate with the surveyor/QA/QC Laboratory Technician and all on-site activities and inspection of the work on daily basis, to ensure that an efficient daily progress has been obtained from all the equipment’s and men power engage in the work.;
  • Ensure that all IR’s (Inspection Request) are in place with the proper documentation and/or approved shop drawing attachments for the proposed to be inspected areas of construction activities.
  • Responsible for issuing a daily program of intended site activities to the foreman ensuring that all target outputs are achieved;
  • Ensure the direct proper implementation of the work, materials used as per approved drawings, specification work requirements and carried out in accordance  with the approved Method Statement;

Project Description: An all-new 13 Km. Multilane Dual Carriageway with Service Roads complete with Drainage System, Lighting, Traffic Signage, Vital Appurtenances, etc. The Project also includes seven Diamond Interchanges (pre-stress voided slabs) at major road crossings, and Three Long Wadi Bridges with more than 700 – 40 m. Pre-stress Beams (Wadi Hanifah, Wadi Mahadiyah, and Wadi Ubayer) having a combined length of 2 Km.

  • Responsible for the direct implementation of the project and see to it that the works are in accordance and conformity with the approved plans and specifications as per International standard;
  • Conduct and issue a daily program of intended site activities to foremen;
  • Responsible for HSE on site during the execution of daily activities;
  • Supervise testing works in the laboratory and in the field e.g. FDT, SPT /Borehole Testing, Strand Testing for relaxation, elongation, Tensile Strength, Compressive cylinder and beam testing and another related test;
  • Responsible for the precast yard casting & pre-tensioning of beams, double T-beams, and hollow core slabs.
  • To coordinate with other Senior Staffs, CE Inspectors and Resident Engineers;
  • Confers with Foremen to provide technical advice and to resolve problems;
  • Check and review the daily works of  the staff;
  • Supervise in the fabrication of reinforcing steel bars for bored pile, Abutment footing, retaining walls, columns, abutment wall and pier crossheads, masking wall, precast and pre-stressed Girder ,diaphragms, bearing plinth, slab, precast NJB and parapets, Box Culverts with reference in the structural plan together with bar bending schedules to ensure the stability of the structure, conduct checking of the fixed or installed reinforcements as per shown in plan.
  • Conduct and supervise the installation of false work and form works as per shown in the plan to ensure the correct alignment, measurement and elevations of the structure as per the approved setting out data;
  • Coordinates with the Project Manager regarding the requirement of the project such as manpower, materials and equipment;
  • Conduct actual concreting of Bridge Structures e.g. Bored Pile, Pile cap and Footing, Columns, Crossheads, Slope protection and approaches, Box Culverts and Irish crossings, Precast Prestressed Girder, Box Type and with Void former, Bridges Slab, Precast NJB and Parapets ,Stressing of Tendons for Monostrand and Multistrand,and grouting of Post-tensioned tendons;
  • Conduct Launching of Girders, Installation of Bridge parapets and New Jersey barriers as per the approved setting out plan;
  • Check and review the bar bending schedules, shop drawing, and setting out data prior to the execution.
  • Make daily, weekly, monthly accomplishment reportand other relevant issues encountered during construction.
  • Make timecard for  all the staff;
  • Establish methods to meet work schedule and coordinate work activities with other departments to achieve the date of completion and to avoid conflict of works that may cause delay, respectively.
  • Requisition of materials and supplies.  Assist workers to facilitate the request of materials needed for the work.
  • Resolve work problems and recommend work measures to improve productivity.
