- Work with the Depot Maintenance Manager, Engineers and Contractor's to identify local key maintenance tasks for the development of the annual work programme and annual possession plan.
- Collate agreed annual volumes of work from area and depot, to produce a local annual work plan, which includes strategic possessions and key resources, in order to optimise both work and resources for agreement with the Area Delivery Planning team.
- From the annual maintenance programme (signed-off by DMM) l developed the quarterly plan for my depot and identified long lead-times, resources, materials and plant.
- Working with Engineers and Contractors build-on quarterly plan throughout the contract year to ensure resources availability, to minimise disruption and maximise safe use of multiple worksite possessions.
- Ensure that all depot plans align with agreed volumes and budget and provide necessary information to Commercial representatives for annual review negotiations.
- Ensure costs of maintenance access are minimised.
- Ensure all Engineering train requests have been identified and submitted to Network Rail Haulage within set timescales.
- Work with Depot Track Access Coordinator and Area Delivery Planning team to develop the period possession plan, for DPPP meeting, in line with current operational planning timescales.
- At Depot level, facilitate the Engineering review meeting to develop all quarterly plans on 4-weekly basis and input into current Depot Planning Systems.
- Ensure adequate planned access using Green Zone arrangements for Red Zone prohibited areas.
- At Depot level, facilitate the joint Weekly Planning Meeting to review work done and to produce a detailed 4-weekly plan (for the next 4 weeks).
- Ensure that necessary items of work have been re-planned and the impact on the plan has been identified to mitigate against risks.
- Compile weekly `Work in Progress' reports for the depot and submit to the Depot Maintenance Manager.
- Monitor the effectiveness of planned works to meet business needs and identify opportunities to meet cost efficiencies and performance targets. Manage any slippage in implementation.
- Resolve short-term planning requests to meet business needs and applicable processes/rules.
- Conduct periodic visits to possession sites to monitor delivery of work by the Contractor.
- Maintain systems to monitor and report on possession utilisation, late award of possession, possession irregularity and possession over-run. Initiate corrective actions to improve efficiency in these areas.
