END Date:
September, 2015 Senior Planning Engineer for ENI Angola, Operator on the Angola Block 15/06 East Hub (2,500 MUSD) project; to develop the Cabaca South East field, Lower Miocene system, which is located in 470m of water. Field development is by means of 10 subsea wells and a Subsea Production System (SPS) tied back through Subsea Umbilicals, Risers and Flowlines (SURF) to a Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO), containing the process, storage and offloading facilities.
My role for Eni involved establishing an overall integrated (P6) schedule, that summarised the detailed schedules from the main contractors. The main contractors include Bumi Armada (FPSO), FMC (SPS), Saipem and Technip (SURF), along with an internal Eni drilling department. To facilitate and guide development of the contractors schedules and also their project control procedures I undertook several business trips to Malaysia, Norway and France, to work with them to ensure that their systems & procedures would comply with the company standards and requirements and also that their schedule WBS would align with the overall Integrated Schedule that I was developing.
I was involved in helping to establish and develop a Planning & Cost presence in each major location (Malaysia/Singapore, Norway, France and Angola). This involved reviewing, screening and ranking CV’s for various functions and then leading the interviews.
I reviewed, commented and advised on approval of the contractors schedules which, once approved, were subsequently baselined and thereafter progressed on a weekly/monthly basis, in line with the approved Project Control and Project Measurement procedures. I then used the updated and (progress) verified contractors schedules to update the overall Integrated Schedule. After the update I made Analysis and comparisons to current baseline and gave feedback to higher management, work pack managers and also the wider project team. I used the output from various P6 reports, that I’d developed, to update the (Excel) S-curves and summary progress tables, these were included into the monthly report which was issued to the Concessionaire and the Joint Venture Partners.
