Document Controller – Document Control Center
- Receive/log/Scan/ File drawings, technical documents, incoming correspondence, date, letters, site instructions, manuals ,specifications, plans, procedures and method of statement.
- Distribute transmittals, technical queries, field clarifications, formal & informal letters.
- Checking the completeness and legibility of the documents/ data and register to the system.
- Responsible for the photocopying and distribution of the documents internal and external after putting the corresponding stamps/marks on it with the proper transmittals based from the distribution matrix.
- Controlled and Uncontrolled documents are closely monitored for the proper distribution.
- Filing of documents/data with the proper label in space allocated for review and with electronic data base for back-up.
- Maintain a central filing system.
- Coordinates with all field engineers for whatever drawings or manuals essential in the construction ( i.e, construction drawings).
- Act as a Focal Point for project technical document control.
- Transmit urgent/critical documents on the priority target dates.
- Maintain a current and superseded set of project hard copy deliverables and electronic register.
- Conduct a documentation review of the final As-built project dossiers upon completion.
- Interface with contractor, project discipline and department on document issue.
- Supervision of technical clerk and computer operators
- Maintain accuracy and integrity of contractors/ sub-contractor’s document database.
