Maintenance Planning & Scheduling Engineer, in Total Tractable Emirates O&M Company (TTE O&M) at 1500 MW Taweelah Combined Cycle Thermal Power & Desalination Plant, UAE

Implementing & Managing MAXIMO Asset Management System for Maintenance Management
- Use of MAXIMO applications such as Condition Monitoring to record and analyze equipment vibration readings, oil analysis, thermography etc. for Predictive Maintenance.
- Using applications like Preventive Maintenance, Routes, Job Plans, Work Order Tracking, Resources, Inventory, Purchasing etc. for MAXIMO based maintenance management.
- Establish Computer based Root Cause Failure Analysis on all equipment failures. Inputting failure codes for equipment types in MAXIMO.
- Coordinating with each maintenance sections for preparing Planned Work Orders in MAXIMO for Work Scope, Manpower, Material, Tools, Services, Safety and Hazards.
- Preparing optimum Weekly Schedule of Work Orders.
- Preparing detailed reports of cost related to maintenance work using MAXIMO. Issuing periodic reports related to maintenance activities such as work backlog, manpower work load, work schedule compliance, Preventive Maintenance compliance, maintenance re-work etc.
- Material Management. Coordinating to establishing optimum inventory levels of spares and consumables for stores and setting minimum /maximum /reorder levels in MAXIMO.
- Collecting all technical specifications of plant equipment and preparing for uploading in the Computerized Asset Management System.
Managing Plant Turnarounds
Developing & updating Outage Schedules in MS Project and Primavera.
- Pre shutdown Planning. Coordinating with various departments to formulate planned outage Project Schedule including material procurement schedules.
- Establishing Work Breakdown Structure, detailed job tasks, durations and major milestones.
- Recording and inputting detailed resource requirements for manpower, material, tools and external services.
- Developing Project Schedule in Primavera / MS Project and Identifying Critical Path.
- Recording Field Observations. Monitoring and reporting work progress and updating the outage schedule.
Budget Follow Up & Cost Control
- Responsible for activities related to monitoring, reporting and controlling the item wise yearly budget of Maintenance department (budgeted versus actual) This includes monthly budget re-forecasting for maintenance related expenses to be incurred till the end of the year.

- Preparing progress reports such as Schedule Variance, Cost Variance, S-Curves, Earned Value Analysis etc.
- Monitoring of Plant construction activities at site. Updating construction schedule in Primavera.

- Manpower Cost Saving in Plant Outages:
Reduced the manpower cost for several projects and plant turnarounds by developing schedules with optimum utilization of manpower in Primavera and MS Project.
