Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

This opportunity is to join an existing team in Japan however you will need some rather specific experience in order to be considered for the role:

You must have at least 8 years experience of working as a Contract Engineer/Contract Administrator in the Oil and Gas sector - ideally with a bias in the Gas sector due to this being a LPG project. You must have previously worked on commercial and contractual sub-contract issues on an LPG project.

You can come from a QS, Engineer, Project Management or other Construction related background, but at long as you have the right level of experience as a Planner/Cost Engineer then exact qualifications are not of the highest importance.

Please note the project language is English so knowledge of the Japanese language is not essential, however candidates fluent in Japanese will be fast tracked. This is open to either freelance or permanent candidates, and rate/salary will be in line with your experience; please note this client DOES pay a fair wage as opposed to the significantly reduced rates out there at the moment.

You must be prepared to relocate to Japan for a minimum of 12 months. You will get 14 days annual leave plus travelling days every 6 months plus the highest level of public holidays in the world at 20 days , plus accommodation in Japan, Economy flights, a 5 day working week, and local travel expenses are reimbursable. This is for someone travelling as single status only.
