Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Looking at current salaries on offer for senior planners in the Uk 60K+ is it now Boom time for planners?

Is the bottom line salary most important?
Would you prefer shorter site hours 9 to 5 perhaps?
What would make you cahnge employer?

Send your CV to UK recruiters and see whats results..

Being recruiter ( suppose), I will never accept your CV whether u have 50 years experience in this industry being most aggressive and emotional personal in this forum if I go with your character as I see your all postings in PP

The only thing with big salary’s is a big tax bill.
It is going crazy for planners, but to find good ones that is the quest.

Prepare to become even more insane,

Things should only get better for planners who work in the UK. I mean, all the work from the olympic village, massive defence projects and £72+ billion of nuclear decommissioning in the next 30-50 years, theres gonna be enough work to go around a very long time!

OK so the world has gone mad. Did anybody say you shouldn’t enjoy it and make a good living out of it? Just make sure you’ve got a contingency plan in place in case the wheels fall off.

i think it is a case of most companies have suddenly realised what planners and plans can do for a project, I think that is the reason why there seem to be thousands of new jobs for planners all over the uk, which being a contractor is very handy as there arent thousands of planners sitting around doing nothing,

rates for planners with a couple of yrs experience £300 pr day, I think the world has gone mad,

I’ve just been speaking to a colleague of mine - and he was offered £88k+ to stay (contract). This was at a Nuclear Power Station.

Now that’s very tempting....considering it’s only about 30 miles away.
