Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Hi Folks / Fit Like,

I’m looking for a job in Aberdein, Scotland in Oil & Gas.

I have done the P3 v3.0 training. Though my main role in the past has not been as a planner/costie I have had to schedule and level resources in a production environment while watching cost.

Anyone know of any current positions. Please send a PM.

Regards,

Jim Smith

Weel Bonnie Lad,

Yel need tae start as a Planning Assistant.
Teach yersel MS Project. Same principals as P3.
Read books on Project Control Management.
Industry standard P3.
Regardless what you read on this forum many smaller companies run with MS Project.
Courses in SHC Sh&te Hawk City circa 1000 GBP.
Best if you have site expereince if you want to do construct/comms.
Dont talk to Humand Remains. Talk to Agents and better still get a decent CV landing the main mans desk.
Sorry cant pick up yer e mails.
Drop me a line on gwenblair@hotmail.com and I can discuss off line.

Cheers

Areet,

Fit companie is Jeemie at ?

Canna find SHC ? Who are they.

Problem I face is that they all are slightly narrow minded. They all want experienced planners so they poach from each other: and no one will train anyone up at the lower end.

For me this is a career change. Speaking to HR will not work. Need to speak to the head of planning in each case to make it happen.

Any takers in Aberdein: I’m looking for a challenge.

Regards,

Jim fae Aberdein

Calling it Aberdeen may help for a start
Hazell Enginering, Orion, Fircroft all have websites.
Try them.
AMEC Wood Group and KBR have formed Sigma 3, have their own little HR sections and tend to have rates pegged out between the three of them.

Pack thermals.

All the best.
