I’ve loaded in P6 300 items of the BoQ with the prices the company is charging. Now I can print the S curve with the foreseen incomes.
My chief has asked me to load the cost the company pays for each item of the BoQ.
Considering that I have to use different codes (e.g. item 0001(+)Vs item 0001 (-)), how can I see the S curve of the only (+)/(-) items?
PLS send me a hint if you know how to work it out
Thanks

Mario,

A) Use the BOQ Selling cost-loaded schedule for reporting purposes to Client/Engineer. On this schedule, you can show periodic schedule variance analysis reports, e.g, Planned Value (BCWS) vs. Earned Value (BCWP). If you find it hard doing in P3/P6, you can extract P3/P6 values and do the exercise in Excel (Again!).

BCWS = BAC x Planned % C
BCWP = BAC x Actual % C
BAC = You can use your Contract BOQ as your BAC
SV = BCWP (EV) - BCWS (PV)

B)Copy the schedule in (A) and load periodic actual cost. You can now complete your variance analysis for your internal reporting requirements.

Add to the above:
CV = BCWP (EV) - Actual Cost

Hope this helps.

Hi,

Your are talking about the Cost that is related to the Resources; Raw Material, Manpower and Equipment.

Each resource can have an associated cost with it. You can manage your cost accordingly.

Best Regards,

Selling Cost vs. Actual Cost? I may suggest not to show it.
