Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

P6 v7 activities Group and Sort

Hi

would it be possible to get help on the following. In P6 how to set different number of grouping bands for different parts of the project phases? I have currently 4 levels starting from Project >then Facility>Phase>Discipline. I would like to have further level (bands) for some specific phases only. Pls any help? thanks Karat

Thanks, I have tried - but it did nit work unfortunately. Still have an empty bands.. regards Karat

Thanks guys for your respond. However, I still have problem with this issue, cannot hide empty bands, tried to set filter to resolve -but it did not work. Karat

Hi Karat,

You have to create a filter and filter ONLY the activities for which you want the bands to be displayed and check "Hide if empty". That is the only way to hide certain bands

Just set the bands up as normal for the elements you want to include, and make sure the "hide if empty" option is selected from the group & sort dialogue box.
