Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Dear Ian,

Thank you for your kind reply. I will follow up on the HMS TimeControl in the future. I will see how much it cost and if I can use it with P6 in the future.

What I came accross until now are either excel sheets or HR softwares for time keeping. Plenty of room for developement :)

With kind regards,

Samer

On-Time System’s add on for P6 is called PSOP and it is a very advanced resource leveller used in Turnarounds and Shutdowns.

You can find information on PSOP here:

What time sheet tool are you using? A lot of timesheet tools connect to P6 out of the box. Our favourite timesheet product is HMS TimeControl.

Dear Ian,

What would be really helpful is to connect the time sheet to the resource loading. Is this part of what "On Time Systems" does?

Thank you for sharing the info.

With kind regards,

Samer

We have a number of add-ons for P5/P6. If you want to see some examples, take a look at our web site: http://www.emerald-associates.com

We specialize in developing add-ons that streamline P5/P6 and integrate to many ERP/EAM systems. If you are looking for something specific, let us know. We have probably developed something similar in the past.

Dear Kinnar,

Resource loading is part of the Schedule. What do you have in mind? Do you want to prepare the resources in another format and import it?

With kind regards,

Samer

Dear Kinnar,

What do you mean by Add-ons? You should get the complete scheduling software when you buy it. The only thing that you might want to consider is the yearly Maintenance agreement.

The other softwares (independent) that can be linked to P6.7 are:

1. Contract Manager
2. Pertmaster Risk Analysis
3. Hard dollar
4. Synchro
5. Portfolio Management
6. Earned Value Management.

With kind regards,

Samer
