Need help...

Using P6, I tried to print to pdf my resource assignment but I encountered this problem.."There was a problem communicating to the printer. Please make sure you have a printer installed and you have a deffault printer selected."

But I could print to pdf my bar chart, activities, etc...It is only in the resource assignment that I could not.

Many thanks in advance...

Arman

Thanks guys...

Dieter, Aftab is right... I could not print that functionality of P6 but could copy it and paste to excel. I guess P6.7 already allowed the printing.

Raf, I tried to make pdf as default printer but it did not work. It is only in the resource assignment that I could not print. Other functionalities work well as far as printing is concerned.

Sorry I just have this print-out in front of me. Version P6.7

To be sure that we discuss the same: View resource assignments --> Print Preview --> Print

Hello,

According to Paul E Harris, Primavera 6 Does not support printing this layout. You are only allowed to copy the required to rows and paste it to an excel sheet, format it to get a print. Expand the display to the required level and press control to copy the required rows.

hope this helps.

Try setting your pdf printer as the default printer, once finished printing to pdf files return to your original printer.

What happens if you’ll change the output from colour to greyscale?

Backgraund for my question is: Primavera doesn’t use own drivers. So most probably it can’t be a P6 problem. Greyscale needs less memory for the output. If this works it’s a problem with the printer’s memory.
Some printers you can switch to process an output on your PC. Then you should use this selection and try again.

Hope this helps! (I’m not sure)
