Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Splitting / Necking in P6

Dear Freinds

Please help me to show the necking in bars in P6. How can I show splitted activity. I already marked check boxes ’calendar non-working time/activity non work intervals’, but necking is not appearing in bars.

(I wasn’t doing this (necking) for every bar.)

Athar,

By splitting, do you mean you want to stop an Activity on a certain date then commence at a later date? Or do you purely just want to ’neck’ or sausage the bars as I call em?
By right clicking the Gantt Chart / Bars / Bar Settings and then by checking the calendar non-work time box ( dont forget you have to do this for every bar you want to be necked) then this should work.....
