Does anybody knows how to get rid of the Baseline bar in the bar column?

I already restored BL 1 in "Maintain Baseline" window and in "Assign Baseline" Window it is only the current project in the Primary baseline. When I look at the bar column, the baseline bar is still appearing. How to get rid of that baseline bar?

Thanks,
Gem Buhian

Hello Dieter,

Thanks for your kind advise, I will explore more and go back and see the ref manual for more clarification. Yes, definitely we will upgrade it to P6.

For my opinion there is a misunderstanding for the meaning of dates. Check either by "Hint Help" or in the ref’manual there is a good overview. And check your parameter settings under Edit--> User preferences.
Why don’t you upgrade to P6?

Hello Arnold,

Thank you for your continuous reply. Basically, you are right. Automatically, the Project and Primary Baselines will be the Current Project if we delete any other assigned Baseline. But when I try to compare the dates by showing it on the activity column like "Start" with "BL 1 Start" and "Finish" with "BL 1 Finish." some of those dates are differrent. It is expected that those dates should be the same because our Assign Baseline is the Current Project.

Actually, I am using P5 and our EPC contractor is using P6. I get an .xer file(P5) from their scheduler exported from their P6 for their bi-weekly progress. I will dig up further what really is causing this mess.

Best regards,

Hi Guillermo,

It will definitely appear in your bar chart window if you did not uncheck the baseline bar. Because if you observe in your Assign Baseline the Project Baseline and Primary Baseline is your "Current Project".

Your current project having a bar on it.

Just simply remove the check next to your project & primary baseline bars.

Hi Arnold,

Thanks for your comments. But my point is if we delete or restore our assigned baseline, that is; if we go to Project --> Maintain Baseline, highlight the schedule assigned as Baseline, then click either Delete or Restore buttons. Definitely, we will be sure that baseline bar will not appear anymore in the bar chart column even if there is still a check mark in View -->Bars window. I don’t know if I have a software problem or there is really a way to remove it.

Does anybody can share how to do it.

Hi Guillermo,

Go to View --> Bars, remove the check next to Baseline Bar and select apply or ok.

After doing this, try to save your layout.
