Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Hi,

I set-up the calendar for an 8hrs/day with work starting at 8:00am. However, everytime a Start On or After contraint is assigned to an activity, P3e/c calculates the activity to start at 12:00noon.

What should be the setting to have the activity starts on 8:00am after assigning a Start constraint.

Thanks

Thanks Niek & Se for the reply.

The only way I can set the start of the activity at the correct hour is to edit it manually or change the timescale to hours and drag the start of the activity.

Hi Conrad,

Se here.

One possibility: have you tried scheduling it first after you entered the activities? Entering the activities at first, P3ec will show a default time. Try scheduling it then you will see the correct time.

2nd possibility: Change the time in the current data date.

I hope this will help.

By default Primavera is using the start time of the activity as the (start) constraint time.

If you want to change that default value you should override it manually for each constraint. (make sure you can see/edit time by selecting the right user preferences)
