Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

In order to help you verify your updates SureTrak provides two scripts, Schedrpt.sbl and Sequence.sbx. Sequence.sbx is an executable for an out-of-sequence report, a script not documented maybe because it is part of a Service Pack.
Although P6 provides a schedule report which identifies Unsatisfied Date Constraints, neither Primavera P3 nor Primavera SureTrak does. Therefore I would like your comments for the following logic statements to help me with a script I am trying to develop for SureTrak.
Statements for Date Constraints to be satisfied:
1. Start Constraint (early) ES=>CONSTRAINT DATE
2. Start Constraint (late) LS=< CONSTRAINT DATE
3. Finish Constraint (early) EF=> CONSTRAINT DATE
4. Finish Constraint (late) LF=< CONSTRAINT DATE
5. Start Constraint ES=LS= CONSTRAINT DATE
6. Mandatory Start Constraint ES=LS= CONSTRAINT DATE
7. Mandatory Finish Constraint EF=LF= CONSTRAINT DATE
8. Expected Finish Constraint EF= CONSTRAINT DATE
Statements for the Date Constraints to be unsatisfied:
1. Start Constraint (early) ES 2. Start Constraint (late) LS>CONSTRAINT DATE
3. Finish Constraint (early) EF< CONSTRAINT DATE
4. Finish Constraint (late) LF>CONSTRAINT DATE
5. Start Constraint ES<>CONSTRAINT DATE &/or LS<>CONSTRAINT DATE
6. Mandatory Start Constraint ES<> CONSTRAINT DATE &/or LS<>CONSTRAINT DATE
7. Mandatory Finish Constraint EF<>CONSTRAINT DATE &/or LF<>CONSTRAINT DATE
8. Expected Finish Constraint EF<>CONSTRAINT DATE
Cordially,

Script Job Cancelled:

I just got the news today: Primavera will no longer sell P3 or SureTrak. Finally they did it. I knew they stopped any upgrades and technical support for these two products but somehow hoped they would reconsider.

It would be a waste of time. I wonder what our Municipal and State Agencies will specify as they cannot specify what is no longer available. Well my clients said, never mind will go back to Microsoft.

P6 would be an overkill for a Fire Station, an overkill for small municipal jobs, an overkill for a Parking Building, an overkill for Water/Wastewater Treatment Plants, an overkill for a new High School even an overkill for New Vocational Schools, an overkill for 99% of our jobs while Primavera Contractor is a joke. None of my clients do need nor wants an "Enterprise" solution. They are no Dept. of Transportation, no Electric Power Utility, no Water Utility but hometown contractors.

Thanks anyway.
