Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Friends,

Am familiar with P3 and new to P5...

Can any one guide me the step by step instructions to do the following in P5..

1. Add base line to a Project in P5..
2. Prepare a layout showing the coomparison bars of two or three projects..
3. How to use import and export files from Excel..(In P3 I used to export the files to Excel and enter the resource units or somethig in Excel and import it back to P5..Can I do the same thing P5)

Hi Jaya.

You can use the maintain baselines under your project menu to create baselines. Keep in mind that if you create a baseline from a project that project will be removed from the projects list. You can the assign baselines to a project and select the bars if you right click the bars option on your gant chart.

The help file also contains alot of information on exporting to and importing from excel.
