Website Upgrade Incoming - we're working on a new look (and speed!) standby while we deliver the project

Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Dear planners,

i want to link several stand alone programs (but they are all for the same project but are for different parts) together using logic links
what is the best way to do so??
is it by keep them seperate and then link them as external programs, and how to do that?
or by combining them in one project ( project group ), and how to to do that also? (do i have to change activity codes for all the programs)
which method is better??

thanks

if you do a combine:
they will all have the same resource & activity dictionaries etc. a forced standard if you will.

if you do a link through interproject:
you will generally have completely different projects that just happen to be linked but with no other common part.
and taking printouts on one page that mix the two/three schedules will not be possible.

on how to do the above:
detailled instructions are available both through the P3 program (press F1) and through a search on this forum site.

your call.

regards.
