Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Hello all,

Once again, any help would be very much appreciated.

I have recently purchased a new Dell Inspiron laptop, previously I have successfully installed and run P3 on a Acer laptop,, both machines have Vista as the operating system.
However when trying to install P3 on the new Dell I receive an error that tells me that the spec of the new Dell is not compatible and I need either a 16 or 32 bit compatible machine (which the Dell is).

Has anyone else had this issue? Is there a fix?

Many thanks

Jonathan,

Not sure if you already solved the issue nor how but for your information I had some issues with SureTrak and by installing Windows 7 Virtual Machine (free download from MS site) I can run any XP compatible software that cannot run in compatibility mode within Windows 7.

You get a virtual Windows XP machine in which you even have to install a virus protection from within the virtual machine to protect it. Even windows XP updates must be installed.

Of course there are certain hardware requirements but it works perfectly. Reminds me of old Citrix "Metaframe" application.

Best regards,
Rafael
