Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Hello all,

This is regarding summarising the actitives..
In a project schedule, let us consider an operation, which consists of some 5 activities, out of that, 3 activies are the main work,90% complete. And other 2 activities, which is say, final cleaning up works, which is 0% complete.

So,when u summarise the operation it will take an average of 55%.This makes an embarassing report about that operation.

Can anyone say whether the less important works can be prioritised or ranked ,which prevents reporting like this.

with thanks & Regards

weight your activities with resources, that can be points, norms manhours or anything. Then your percent complete will be relative. under autocost rules, Disconnect percent complete with timeframe.Connect percent complete with resources.
