Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Hi,

The activities in my schedule are loaded with different resources (up to 3 resources per activity).
For recording progress by actual quantities I’m looking for a way to do it by importing from excel (using wk1).

example:
- activity: electrical installation
- Resources: Cable Tray, Cable, Panel

Esp. which headers do I need for the columns of the .wk1 file. I couldn’t figure it out from exporting.

Any idea/help will be very appreciated!

cheers

Hello Heinz,

Take a look in RA and you will find all you need.

Note: RA is distributed with Primavera but not installed automatically from the CD.

You have to locate the RA directory in the CD and copy it into the P3WIN directory in you computer.

You have samples to use in Excell, Acesss, etc.

Heinz,

Because the index of the resouce assignment table is resource AND cost account, it is important that you export both of these columns when creating your template.

Given that you can import either "this period" or "to date" manhours the actual hours field you export/import is important, as is the setting "link actual and to date" in the autocost rules.
