Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Fully aware of the export inport capabilites of P3, but what I am referring to is the 2 downloads
one is called ProjMods
the other is Project, I beleive. both are xls files that are on some p3 installation disc, and at one time was available as downloads direct from Primavera.

The two files allow one to go into P3 through the database and work, for example, projmods allows you to export the activity code structure and work on it, change it and import it back into p3. awsome way to update code works.

emal me and i will zip and send to you if you want.

Hi, Mohammed
The Crystal Report is more powerful utility (IMHO) than InfoMaker.
But you’ve to be familiar with database design in order to use it at full throttle.
You can read more about Crystal at: http://www.ripway.com/members/getfile.asp?file=\2005-3\268277\ProteanRep...

Agres with JAco.

Most planners are not aware of the power programs that come in most P3 disc, basically downloads, that are p3 inport and export programs. With this, you can do almost anything in Excel then import back into p3.

Sometimes find it easy to work in xls then p3 and inport export. This is very good for 10 to 15000 activiy schedules that we come upon for large projects.

I prefer to use Crystal reports v10 against P3 database.
With Crystal you’re able to produce well looking reports.
Or you may use InfoMaker (shipped with P3) instead.

Why not do the report in xls. And use p3 Export Function.
