Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

while creating a new schedule, I came across an issue where I can only edit budgeted units on the Resource Assignments tab over a 2.5year time period.

In the attached image, there is a Salary employee working over the course of 5 five years. Being a salary employee, he will burn 173.33hours a month, totalling 2080hours a year. therefore, I am trying to set the budgeted units each month to 173.33.

This time frame issue applies to all resources.

Does anyone know why I can only modify budgeted units over this two and a half year time?

Thank you in advance for any help on this issue,

I finally found the answer to my own problem and I'll answer it in case anyone else runs into this issue.

The problem has to do with the Financial Periods that have been created. In my case, I inherited this Primavera project when I started a new job and my predecessor had only built out the financial periods through 2019. To create more financial periods I needed to go into the Web application. Once in the Web application, go to Administer menu > Enterprise Data > Global > Financial Periods. here you can add more financial periods.

Here is a link to help create more Financial Periods:

Hope this can help someone else someday
