Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Hi,

I guess its "Retained Logic" and "Progress Overide" :), the difference between is the way you want Primavera to calculate dates.

say for example Activity A&b have FS relationship but activity A gets delayed and Activity B starts without Activity A finishing, in this case :

1) Retained Logic - would follow logic and hence while scheduling Activity B Remaining ES would be calculated from the EF of Activity A, therefore you might see a break in the dates for Activity B.

2) Progress over ride - This would override logic and schedule both the activities according to the Progress they have achieved. In this case you will not see any break in Activity B.

Hope it helps,

Regards

Amit
