Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Change in base program.

The target plan is "Approved with comments" based on that i started updating the progress. But in reply to the above said comments, my boss is asking to introduce an activity with the the duration equal to delay by owner / client in target for a revised target ( some times want to chnage the links also) every month or occurance of any delay and i have to do the update based on new revised non approved target. I believe these delays or stoppage can be incorporated in updates (mention the reason in log record for tracability) and revised target can be submitted after 1 year or mid of project with all the accumulaed delays!!! whts ur suggession!!!!

I did a quick fix a while ago.

I did as your PM requested and added a bar for the delay. This was then linked to the other activities retaiining the original logic as well. All activities were then ’delayed’ by the new bar and when the delay was complete they re-started.

Yes, I know it is messy and probably not ’good practice’ but it took ten minutes and got me out of a hole!
