Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

is there a way to open the p3 files from readonly

The files need to be read/write to open with P3. You need to change the attributes from Explorer to read/write as they are set to read only when burnt to a CD and remain read only when copied back to a hard drive.

In future it is better to back up P3 files as prx files and then they may be restored from the CD and they will not be read only when restored.
