Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Good day to all,

Im a planner for 15 years in a manufacturing company.
It’s my first time, to handle a construction of a hospital. We are now in the process of formulating the baseline. Could anybody share some baseline or experience in planning about this project.

Any help would be highly appreciated.

Thank you,
Sandy

I guess i am a bit too late.. but if someone still needs some guidance into planning a hospital, i have a pdf file which illustrates the baseline schedule of a hospital project which was shared by some planner on another forum. So please if you need a copy just send me a private message on PP.
Regards.

Hello Cihangir,

Our scope of works in this hospital project has been changed from design and built to Phase I - Piling works...
So as of this time, piling works is still in progress and expected to finish by mid of October.

Samer suggestions on how to prepare a plan can help, as the baseline depends on project scope of works, milestones and deliverables.

Best regards,
Sandy

Thank you Samer...
As of this time, dont have any specific question yet. And by the way we will be using primavera P6 in this project. Another ’first time’ to me. But will attend a crash course this week.

Best regards,
Sandy

Dear Sandy,

Let me suggest that you start out by reviewing the Contract documents with your team.

1. Divide the project into its main parts. Read a bit about Work Break Down Structure.

2. Start working toward defining the activities required for each Zone or part.

3. Start defining the duration and resources required for each activity.

4. Link the activities together.

If you have more specific questions, please ask.

Good luck.
