Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Hello everyone,

I have problem saving P6 acitivities that are entered in a different language. I'm using P6 16.1 and my activity description is in Japanese. When I'm done entering the activities and exist the schedule, all activities would display question marks when I open the schedule again.

Does anyone know a fix?

Thank you.

Hi Ron

This may work in P6 but in Asta I set up a user field then copy paste all the English titles into Google Translate and then copy paste the language back. It is not always accurate but it is quick and simple.

The problem with Japanes is that there are 3 different texts to the language so the pictoral versions - Katakana & Hiragana may not work. The letter version Kanji may do better.

Good luck

Best regards
